RS COMPETITION
We are thrilled to announce the launch of our groundbreaking RS COMPETITION upgrade kit—the world’s first motion platform featuring our patent-pending “Slick Tire” bearings, eliminating the need for metal-moving parts.
This compact motion platform offers the ultimate solution to upgrade an existing RS MEGA4U, RS MEGA+, and similar 3DOF motion systems to a fully loaded 6DOF motion platform, by adding the horizontal degree-of-freedom, such as Yaw, Sway, and Surge.
Everyone single part in the RS COMPETITION kit is meticulously designed by our team. This allows us to have the flexibility and precision to fit three RS SOLO 150mm actuators (two “TL” and one Surge) discreetly underneath the platform, and still deliver a jaw-dropping 20° of yaw angle in just 0.4 seconds, and bursting speed for yaw and Surge at up to 250mm/s, giving the driver "cue" that he needs to save a corner just when the car snaps off traction. Not to be mistaken with the so-called "sustained G-force" that other systems try to reproduced (but failed), which is more appropriately addressed with our all new RS SOLO - Active Force.
The “Slick-Tire", a patent-pending design and thanks to specially formulated compounds, offers unparalleled smoothness and ultra-durability. Unlike conventional casters or wheels commonly found on Traction Loss platforms, these “Slick-Tires” are used exclusively on the RS COMPETITION, providing omni-directional movement in for yaw, sway, and surge degrees of freedom.
In addition to the “Slick-Tire", all bearings used on the entire RS COMPETITION are designed from the ground up using the same exceptional technology. This innovative approach eliminates all mechanical bearings, along with their associated noises, resulting in exceptionally long-lasting components that can potentially last a lifetime!
The RS COMPETITION also includes the all new suspension system featuring swappable Hard or Soft settings to minimize vibrations and noise disturbance to your neighbours
The RS COMPETITION platform is also just 1390mm long, shorter than the TrakRacer 120S and SimLab P1X-Pro! It has a 660mm wide body and raises the vertical actuators by just 13cm above ground, making it incredibly easy and safe to enter and exit the cockpit without the need to climb over any steps.
