From H3 to RS MEGA+ 🇺🇸

"If you are on the fence... Save up and get the Mega plus. You won't regret it."

Hear directly from our customer who replaced the DOF H3 with the RS MEGA+ and RS SOLO - Traction Loss!!! (full review below)

"If you ever wondered...

With respect to DOF reality, I'm very glad I made the move. Don't get me wrong, I loved my H3. It was a great introduction platform and my point of entry into this rabbit hole. The Mega+ is just a different, beautiful, monster, of course with a different price tag ( We'll get to this later ).

Customer service:
Alex was amazing and answered all my question promptly and diligently. Excellent customer service. Igor at DOF is also very good, I've never had any issue with them and they always have been helpful and replied super fast. I've owned the H3 for 4 years. I had an issue early on with one of the motor and they sent a new one free of charge. I upgraded last year to the SFU gear box on both Front motors, and the delivery was relatively fast considering the situation in Ukraine.

Shipping:
Eracing Lab shipped my KIT within 48 hours after the purchase. ( I got the TL as well ) The packaging is excellent and shows care. Costs $689 to ship to NYC. I was fine with this

The shipping of the DOF is good, but you don't get that over the top feeling, which I was really impressed with E-Racing lab. I can't remember the cost of shipping with DOF. I remember it wasn't cheap either.

Instructions:
DOF reality instruction are pretty good, and you have a lot of sources on the web to help you. Calibration process can be a bit daunting but that's alright.

With Eracing Lab, you get less instructions. But it's a pretty straight forward process. If you built your own frame, it won't be an issue for you. Everything comes calibrated out of the box and is really plug and play

Cost:
Now...
I believe you get the H3 for $2200 currently and it comes with the SFU upgrade and TL, which is quite a bargain. Had your seat+shipping+hardware and you are good to go. Weight limitation is 150KG

E-racing lab. The 5 actuator plus Thanos and shipping comes at $3979

I ordered the parts for my frames to an automation dealer as I wanted to customize and future proof it. I want for a 4080 and 4040 build and I'm very happy with the result. It came to a grand total of $900. You can go a lot cheaper than that. I just overkilled.

So basically a grand total between $4500 to $5000.

I know, that's double the price but the H6 is getting really close to that, and only add the surge which you can purchase later for $690 and a few more profiles. Just plan your build accordingly.

My advice, If you are on the fence... Save up and get the Mega plus. You won't regret it.

The H3 is perfectly fine for flightsim once it's dialed properly. But for sim racing... it's lacking a lot. The heave is a crucial dimension of the experience and the H3 is missing it. You can get the H6 for around the same price, but you'll also get the weight limitation and lack of modularity that comes with it.

Again, I loved the H3 and it's a fine rig, but If I had to do it al over again, I would go for the mega plus right away. It's well worth the extra cost.

The mega plus takes a bit more space than the H3, but kinda less than the H6.

I decided to write that review because I couldn't find any like this when I was asking myself this very question.

I hope this is helpful if you are trying to make that decision. Contact me if you need more info. Happy to answer your questions"Â
